Answer: YES. Those are trash and outdated technology. However if you must for aesthetic reasons, search for old window putty that may not be made anymore.

Answer: the problem is not the grout, it's the thin-set adhesive on the back of the tile. Maybe it'll chip off or perhaps you could experimenting with muriatic acid.

ANSWER: Find some commonality. Sadly, siding comes in colors so you will have to choose. As far as material, stucco is the local favorite but it might be fragile. Hardcoat stucco is 10 pounds of material per square foot; synthetics go over foam board.
